Just released from Murietta’s Well, this pair of wonderful wines from this famous Livermore California winery are just delicious.
The Whip: This white seems to have every grape in it but Chardonnay. It starts with a creamy melon aroma with some hints of lime. Flavors are lemony up front with honeydew following. Crisp with a nice zing and a finish full of fruit and floral aromas.
The Spur: A red blend with an initial bouquet of smoke, blackberry and chocolate. Flavors of ripe blackberry and black plum are loaded with cinnamon spice. A wonderful balance of tannin and dryness make this a sure winner with BBQ or other traditional American fare. Give this one time to breathe.
